Anhinga

This is an etching which took
quite a long time to make. I
composed it from several photos
I have taken over the years from
coastal areas. When I knew I
wanted the Anhinga in it, I carefully
planned the bird looking into the
center of the image. I find it a
fascinating bird and studied some
about it. The female has a peach
colored neck and is very reclusive.
The babies are a peach color all
over and tended by both parents.
