I've spent a whole week on a marsh scene in pastel
and trashed it today. I learned a lot doing it. So, I
am posting an older etching. The first etching of this
spot was very large - 24 x 30 and in two colors (two
plates). I revised the plates, cut them down and added
two more. It is printed in bluish purple, green, yellow
and burnt sienna. I still have to hand-color the path
with some reddish tint. Sometimes I go over the top
but it is not always worth it. The spot is a rural road
that is still in Lake County but all of this view is gone.
