Had such a time loading this image - somethingabout alowing cookies! Anyway, this is a new
painting - a lot of fun getting the poses of each
lily pad. I really like the intimate setting of this
little close-up.

- After showing original hand-pulled etchings for 25 years, I opened a gallery. During that time, I started doing monotypes which evolved into paintings and then acrylic paintings on canvas. I have recently stopped creating etching plates and have a full concentration on painting. I work from my own photographs and take hundreds as we travel from the wonderful coastal area of St. Augustine to the Gulf where the Suwannee River empties into the bay. It has opened a whole new color pallette for me. Most of my paintings are of colorful marshes with dynamic light and wonderful creeks with mud, birds and various types of trees.
