Big Cypress Swamp

We toured Big Cypress Swamp in South Florida
in the summer as it drizzled for two days. I took
a lot of pictures thinking they might not turn out.
But, amazingly enough, I was able to use a lot of
them. Granted, the subject matter is very busy.
This painting was a real challenge. So I had to
plan and leave out trees, etc. in order to make
the composition work. I must have done ok. It
was accepted into the top 100 of the 2007 national
Paint the Parks show and toured with that group
for a year.
