Fronds

One of my fun indulgences,
palms, palmettos and reflections
in one painting. This is a closeup
cropped out from a larger photo
at Pelicer Creek. I'm working on
two etchings, scraping and refining
and printing today. Hopefully, I
will be satisfied with the hand-coloring
and be able to post them next week.

Moses Creek

Moses Creek is south of St. Augustine off of
state road # 206. Anyway, that is where the
entrance to the trail is. The creek runs across
US #1 West and East to the intracoastal. This
particular scene is in the middle of the trail at
low tide - some water but mostly creek bed.
I love the way the oranges and golds turned
out.

Cypress Knees

This is a fairly new painting that I completed
for a special show. I am really happy how it
turned out. It is actually a spot on the river
at the Okeefenokee swamp in Georgia. Almost
every photo I took had an alligator in it. I left
the one out of this painting. I had to turn the
painting upside down to get the reflection right.
