Rock Reflections

This is the final painting I did at the "paint-
out" for North Florida Land Trust's "Painting
the Region". It was actually painted from the
dock looking toward the shore of the St. Johns
River. I painted it in less than 2 hours using a pallette
knife for most of it. That seems to be what I choose
when pressed for time. It was fun and I like the
results. Quote: " Happiness is often the result of

Lily Pads in Unison

I see these lily pads as marching along the river
in "unison" dipping into the water, bobbing up and
down and playing host to a number of creatures.
Anyway, this was great fun to paint. I plan to do a
very large one when I get my eyes all healed.

"Perseverance"

I sat for at least 30 minutes watching this heron
at the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. He or she
did not get the "dinner" item during that time. I
grew weary of watching (my patience is thin) and
the roar of an alligator on the bank sent me running.

Lily Pads in Lavendar

Had such a time loading this image - something
about alowing cookies! Anyway, this is a new
painting - a lot of fun getting the poses of each
lily pad. I really like the intimate setting of this
little close-up.
