My goals for this blog are to share my images with people who are interested in original landscape art. Questions on technique or sharing of same would be welcomed.
"30" x 40"", acrylic on canvas. I was so enthralled with the photo I took one evening with the light hitting the tops of the trees as we boated to the canal where our place is.
After showing original hand-pulled etchings for 25 years, I opened a gallery. During that time, I started doing monotypes which evolved into paintings and then acrylic paintings on canvas. I have recently stopped creating etching plates and have a full concentration on painting. I work from my own photographs and take hundreds as we travel from the wonderful coastal area of St. Augustine to the Gulf where the Suwannee River empties into the bay. It has opened a whole new color pallette for me. Most of my paintings are of colorful marshes with dynamic light and wonderful creeks with mud, birds and various types of trees. As always, I love the abstract reflections in the water and the subtle light flickering through the trees. contact
