Finally, enough light to take a photo of this painting.
We have had the most miserable two week of weather I can
remember in a long time. My husband and I have been
observing the water birds here for some time and studying
how to photograph them. He managed to catch this Night
Heron on a little creek in the middle of the day and
arouse him enough to get this pose. One of the things
one finds is that when working from a photo, you must
compose and rearrange the leaves, twigs, trees or
whatever to make the painting pleasing. I keep books
and photos around to use what I need like the feet
that I couldn't see in this photo.
